What medical conditions do I need to declare for Travel Insurance?

It’s important that you declare all your conditions that fall within our medical health disclosure requirements:

Have you or anyone else insured on this policy:

  1. In the last two years, taken any prescribed medication or received medical treatment or advice at a hospital, clinic, GP surgery or via remote consultation or received or been offered palliative care;
  2. Been placed on a waiting list that could cause you to cancel or curtail your trip;
  3. Been advised of a terminal illness.

We will need to know the name of the medical condition you have. In some cases we may also need to know the number of medications you take for this condition.

We may not need to know the name of the procedure or the names of the medications you take.

This screening process used by travel insurance companies will allow us to determine how your medical conditions might affect the likelihood of you making a claim or the cost of treatment when you are on holiday.
